The 17th Century Baron's Mill
Our country house in Umbria is divided into three holiday apartments, which are perfect for groups of up to eight people wishing to stay for one or more weeks. Each apartment is separate from the others and has its own distinct features. The rooms in all three apartments have walls made of exposed brickwork.
The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is sunlit, peaceful and wonderfully cosy. It has been completely renovated and the furnishings add a touch of elegance that is unusual to find in a country house. The four holiday apartments are all different from one another and each has a private garden where our guests can relax and enjoy their dinner during the summer.
Swimming pool and services
A wide, scenic swimming pool, located in the vicinity of our farmhouse, is fully available to all our guests.
A History Amid The Rolling Umbrian Hills
HOW THE ANCAIANO COUNTRY HOUSE WAS BORN
Roughly twenty five years ago, amid the green Umbrian hills, the history of my passion for this place began to blossom. The two mills and nearby farmhouse had spent decades wasting away in a state of complete and utter abandonment, with only ruins, brambles and nettles for company. With determination and a smidgen of thoughtlessness, I set about renovating the three buildings.
It is now time for us to share this radiant oasis (our country house in Umbria ) with nature lovers and enthusiasts of Umbrian landscapes. There are plenty of hikes and sports activities to enjoy both on the premises and in the surrounding areas, given that a scenic swimming pool is exclusively available to our guests.
If you love animals, you will delight in meeting all the animals that make up our little “Noah’s Ark” in the Ancaiano country house: the adorable dogs and cats, “Morellina”, the beautiful filly, Zoran and their “children”, goats, ducks, pheasants, geese and splendid peacocks ready and waiting to fan their tails.
